Applying Design Thinking for Social Impact – Keynote Address at B:CIVIC
Are you challenged to generate fresh solutions to complex corporate responsibility, business and social problems? Would you like to unleash new ideas from your internal and external teams?
Nikki Korn and Mark Feldman’s keynote address and hands-on workshop at the B:CIVIC Summit on corporate responsibility challenged over 250 corporate executives to think in fresh ways to address local, national and global social issues.
Their Keynote shared how companies and social impact leaders are applying the power of Human-Centered Design Thinking practices to drive creativity, innovation and fresh brainstorming within their organizations and among partners. They introduced the concept, demystified the process, provided tangible marketplace examples, and inspired attendees to experiment within their companies.
During a highly interactive 90-minute Design Thinking Workshop following the keynote, participants rolled up their sleeves in an abridged Design Thinking session, learned how to help their stakeholders walk in the shoes of the people their social impact programs seek to support, re-articulated root problem statements, and crafted action-oriented solutions.
B:CIVIC is the leading organization promoting and advancing business philanthropy and community involvement for the betterment of communities across the state of Colorado.
