She is committed to ensuring communities, companies, and individuals can remain resilient during environmental and social challenges globally.
A seasoned sustainability expert and the founder and CEO of Veerless, every day Marcy shares her expertise in ESG reporting, stakeholder engagement, data management, outcomes frameworks, and other key aspects of ESG strategy excellence. Marcy guides clients through ESG Report writing and design; materiality exercises; science-based target setting; SASB, TCFD, GRI, and other framework development; investor communications; and data management system identification and implementations.
Prior to launching Veerless, Marcy served as the head of corporate responsibility and sustainability for ArcelorMittal, the world’ largest steel and mining company. In this role, she led the development and implementation of the company’s global sustainability framework and flagship ESG programs. She also built ArcelorMittal’s first materiality process and transitioned numerous countries to an integrated business approach and reporting process. Marcy holds an MBA with a focus on finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, where she developed her passion for sustainability.
As a respected speaker and thought leader, Marcy has shared her insights with executives at the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, The Conference Board, Points of Light, Sustainable Investment Leadership Conference, and BlueGreen Alliance. She is also the host of the podcast Table Stakes: The Podcast for Responsible, Sustainable Leaders and Companies.
