NetApp and World’s Largest Lesson Release Global Education Survey Report
As part of NetApp Data Explorers, the company’s global social impact program, NetApp partnered with the World’s Largest Lesson on a year-long campaign to empower young students to take action around SDG4: Quality Education by unlocking the power of data. In one of the largest global education surveys ever – released today – 37,000 students from over 150 countries called for a modernization of curricula and shared insights on how they would like to improve their education. Students highlighted their desire to learn digital skills, financial literacy, and how to analyze and use data.
Alnylam Recognized for CR / ESG Actions
Congratulations to Alnylam for recognition as The Boston Globe’s #1 Top Place to Work 2022 and one of America’s Most Responsible Companies for 2023 by Newsweek based on a holistic view of their CR / ESG practices. Alnylam began their CR reporting journey in early 2020 with our team’s support through a combination of internal assessments, organizational prioritization, governance structure development, and signature program creation. This culminated in their first CR Summary. Three years later, they are continuing to expand their signature social impact program, Alnylam Challengers, internationally, reporting against SASB and GRI frameworks, and are working to release their third annual CR report in April 2023.
BAE Tech Power Innovates for Veterans
Hear from Army Veteran Cathi Abramshe about a life-changing device built for her by engineering students and BAE mentors as part of the BAE Electronic Systems Tech Power: Innovating for Impact program. In this video Cathi shares how engineering students invented an electronic device to enable her companion dog to safely wake her during PTSD induced night terrors. Through this national social impact program, the international defense, aerospace and security company, brings together engineering college students, employee mentors, and veterans organizations to develop solutions that improve the lives of disabled veterans.
CSC CommunityWorks Empowers People Through Clean Laundry
CSC ServiceWorks the leading provider of laundry solutions, machines and services throughout the United States, Canada and Europe addresses the growing concern that too many of our neighbors struggle to succeed with education, employment, or socialization due to limited access to clean clothes. Through this partnership with national nonprofit Social Current, local CSC Branch teams in 30 markets use their expertise to assess community organizations’ laundry operations, install the right commercial equipment and provide ongoing maintenance.
Designing for Dual Impact: Business + Social at ACCP
Mark Feldman and Nicole Lamberg led an interactive workshop on the art and science of designing social impact programs at the annual Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals (ACCP) Conference. They focused on how to establish clear business goals and then identify relevant, substantive social issue “problems to solve.” Participants learned how to create a compelling theory of change, robust program elements, impact model, and comprehensive social impact program, and left with an end-to-end roadmap to deliver dual impact.

Virginia Fresne Joins Cause Consulting Team
We were thrilled to welcome Virginia Fresne to the Cause Consulting team last year. While working in rural Kenya to eliminate barriers to quality education, Virginia witnessed how complex social issues require perseverance, teamwork, and creativity. She activated these learnings to advance social impact and ESG strategies at the Boston Red Sox Foundation and inside global publisher Houghton Mifflin.
