Boston Beer Company’s founder, Jim Koch, spoke on a panel focused on Sustainable and Innovative Financing at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) America meeting on June 8, 2012. Other panelists included:

  • Donna Gambrell, Director, Community Development Financial Institutions Fund, U.S. Department of Treasury
  • Lisa Hall, President and CEO, Calvert Foundation
  • Ted Howard, Executive Director, the Democracy Collaborative

Koch and the other panelists discussed investments in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), affordable housing, and green infrastructure projects that will help build the next generation of the American economy. Specifically, Koch discussed his expertise regarding the success of Samuel Adams’ signature cause program, Brewing the American Dream, which supports small businesses in the food, beverage, craft brewing and hospitality fields.
