Aramark’s first Global Volunteer Day took place March 19, 2014, when thousands of Aramark employees volunteered together, bringing the power of their collective energy and expertise to help build and strengthen the communities where our employees live and work.
The Global Volunteer Day theme, “Inspiring Kids To Be Healthy For Life,” focused on empowering children and families worldwide to make healthy nutrition and activity choices.
Volunteers worldwide demonstrated the company’s mission to enrich and nourish lives, and Aramark employees’ collective passion for service. Employees mobilized in a hands-on opportunity to impact the wellness of thousands of children worldwide.
Global Volunteer Day is an extension of Aramark Building Community, the company’s signature volunteer and philanthropic program that has impacted nearly 4 million people in 52 cities worldwide. Through Aramark Building Community, the company enriches lives by helping to improve family health, prepare youth and adults for work, and support individuals and families working their way out of poverty.
