AMD Changing the Game, the company’s global signature education program, was honored as a Computerworld Honor Laureate under the training & education category. The training and education category recognizes innovative use of IT to create and improve learning programs and/or extend the reach of education and training to new and/or wider audiences, particularly those previously underserved. As one of nineteen recipients, the company was recognized for its work to inspire youth to learn through gaming. AMD’s Changing the Game leverages the power and experience of gaming as a way to teach less-advantaged middle and high school student’s critical science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and life skills.

Founded by International Data Group (IDG) in 1988, the Computerworld Honors Program recognizes organizations that create and use information technology to promote and advance the public welfare, benefit society and change the world for the better.
