The Adobe Foundation announced the winners of the Adobe Youth Voices Aspire Awards, a new opportunity for youth worldwide to submit compelling digital work portraying social issues to an international, online media competition.  More than 800 submissions were received in eight categories:

  1. Animation
  2. Documentary
  3. Music video
  4. Narrative video
  5. Poetry/experimental video
  6. Audio
  7. Graphic design
  8. Photography

Judging was conducted by a global panel comprised of teen peers, youth media professionals, educators and media industry experts. 160 semi-finalists were made eligible for an Audience Choice Award where the general public could vote for their favorite media creations through the online website. Award Winners were announced publicly and the digital work of all 160 semi-finalists is available at the Adobe Youth Voices’ website.

As part of Adobe’s signature philanthropy program, Adobe Youth Voices, these awards recognize ordinary young people from all walks of life for their extraordinary projects created to change our world for the better. Adobe Youth Voices Aspire Awards believes that everyone has the power to be creative and make powerful media.

Adobe Youth Voices aims at providing young people with critical technology skills to better communicate their ideas, demonstrate their potential and take action in their communities.
