Overview
Enriching Lives Every Day was architected as a guiding CSR framework, brand and message guide for one of the world’s largest food and facilities management companies. Its pillars – environmental stewardship, employee advocacy, community involvement, and health and wellness – serve as a call-to-action for 250,000 global employees operationalizing CSR across diverse business units and industry segments.
Within this framework, Aramark Building Community, a global philanthropic and employee volunteer program, deploys the company’s unique professional culinary, nutrition, workforce training and facilities management skills to create opportunities for underserved people to lead healthier lives and succeed in the workplace. Aramark Building Community Day has become an annual demonstration of the company’s year-round dedication of employee skills, time and service excellence to strengthen families and local communities.
Since 2008, Aramark has invested over $9 million in volunteer expertise, financial and in-kind resources to strengthen the capacity of more than 100 local community centers in 52 cities in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, and the U.K. By dedicating the skills and expertise of tens of thousands of employees, Aramark has impacted over 4.5 million lives.
