CNN featured the success story of one of the first loan recipients of the Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream program, Lucy Valena of Voltage Coffee. Lucy has grown her business from a small mobile espresso catering cart to a full scale coffee shop in Cambridge, MA. Founder of Boston Beer Company, Jim Koch expressed how this micro-loan program helped Lucy take her business to the next level, “She had a great idea. She had passion.
